Sudbeat are seriously on fire right now, and seem to be getting somehow hotter with every release. Bridging musical genres together effortlessly and the occasional surprise, this is a label on the top of its game. After last years hugely successful introduction to the Sudbeats concept, the eagerly awaited Volume 2 lands with a whopping 25 tracks to dazzle and amaze. 27 artists, each with a singular track, each hand picked for their excitement and energy they can bring to this project. A huge array of talent parade their goods, musically from deep moody vibes, through to slow builders, some hypnotic grooves, some melodic moments and a selection a bangers, a veritible smorgasbord of quality from the off.

We take a techy turn with Tim Penner’s “Exit Me,” and his unique style of fusing progressive and techno becomes immediately apparent. Pitched down vocal stabs, creative percussive fills for variation, and dissonant pads establish his more tech-savvy framework: while the emotional main lead, dramatic sound effects, and supplementary string pad hits all highlight his progressive side. For what has always been such a drastic contrast, Penner as usual manages to bring it all together, and the arrangement, which is continuously building in complexity, continues to work every element he adds as the track progresses. “Exit Me,” for all of this, is an interesting and unique journey that combines a lot of different sounds for a sonic adventure well worth the listen.

The Smirnoff Sound Collective is global initiative celebrating diversity and inclusivity in electronic music. Along with other members of the collective and key industry mentors, Joseph Ray and Meli were brought together for a creative retreat at Rancho V studio complex Joshua Tree, California. During one of the SSC Retreats. Inspired by the creative collective and their fellow artists, Joe and Meli created the hypnotic 'Inside' - one of many songs created that week - which unfurls from a melodic and delicate house tune into a bass-infused, bellowing track that easily fills a dance floor with its booming power.

Joseph Ray is a member of Grammy award winning trio NERO - 'Inside' is the first in a series of solo releases from Joseph Ray coming this year, that includes a collaborative project with the Haitian band Lakou Mizik.

MELI is a Grammy nominated singer-songwriter and producer, with a burgeoning solo career, whose work has been popping up across multiple genres from hip-hop to EDM.
