Les Deux are an up-and-coming duo from Paris with only a few productions to their name. Once you hear "Jolie" chances are you'll be hooked. The introduction gently drifts you into a universe melting of wistful piano chords, animated synths and a luxurious bassline. A seemingly endless journey of simplistic keys, it's mediative rhythm effortlessly orbits from one deep house plateau to the next with the incorporation of soft drum kicks and chimes. The beautiful ballad soars through the depths of lighthearted sentimentality, making this midnight lullaby one to cherish.

In may 2013 the long-awaited second album by zurich resident production master kalabrese was released and inspired again the dance community. an unique musical piece made for independent sensitive dancers and listeners. now, a remix ep is released with re- interpretations from the album. and the handpicked producers got down to work just as respectful and musically passionate, all appreciating the „rumpel magic“.
matthew 'indemnity' herbert runs against the storm with his „desperate man“ version and sparks a rolling fire of distortion synthesizers and blazing pads and voices. a peak-time bomb becoming also a whisky song à la tom waits as later the night gets.
martin gretschmann aka acid pauli remains slenderly, takes away the euphoria of „wanzka“’s afro and rotates about some synthesizer-modules and a groove as dry as dust, the afterhour isn ́t far away...
âme’s frank wiedemann masterly unrolls the dub and focusses on the solid choir of „stone on your back“. a strong massive track, fairly arousing, but also hugging the dancefloor and pointing to everybody’s hearts.
a canson remix completes the ep. the producer from zurich helped himself from kalabrese’s huge treasury filled with dozens of files and put a backing voice in the center of the hypnotic groove, he treats the harmonies oft he original very carefully.
a strong and independent remix ep that shows again, how full of potential kalabrese’s songs are and how incredibly relaxed the remixers dealt with them.

Dead Combo is one of the most amazing musical groups coming out of my hometown, Lisbon. I wanted to remix their music for a long time now but never had the courage until a couple of months ago. And here it is. I hope you like it. This is some kind of western-slow-house-music built around the amazing guitar riffs of Tó Trips and the deep double bass by Pedro Gonçalves. Our favourite west coast space rock band "Woolfy vs. Projections", or "the Hall and Oates of the dance world" (XLR8R) are back for good. "Set Me Loose" is the first single from their 2012 album "The Return Of Love" , which with its proper songwriting, dreamy atmosphere and psychedelic character became an essential listening delight for all kind of Balearic types over the past summer. "Set Me Loose" is the perfect example for W vs. P unique blend of electronic and acoustic instrumentation and the natural haziness that lives in their music. This makes it a perfect match for Swiss legend Lexx (you have to check out his contribution to the ' originals ' series on Claremont 56), who offers the first remix here. Lexx does what Lexx does best adding a good portion of Excotica, tropical drumming and a certain dubbyness to the original making it a winner on the late night floor. 

The Drifter, who had a busy year with setting up his own label Maeve, which he runs with his lads Mano Le Tough and Baikal and with releasing his debut ep on Permanent Vacation in late 2012, comes correct with a hypno house version of "Set Me Loose". He leaves out most of the original's Balearic feeling and adds a punchy kick and an acidy bassline to get it in shape for the more housy floors. 

Last but not least in this delicate triumvirate of remixes is El_Txef_A from Bilbao, Spain. Aitor Etxebarria turned quite some heads with his last year's debut album "slow dancing in a burning room" and the mixture of contemporary club music and classic pop elements. He stays close to the original, stripping it down to the basic elements of the groove and the vocals before half way through of the remix an arpeggiated synth appears and introduces the 4/4 bass drum for the second half.
