YDDIG “Ya Dig?!” is more of a lyrical anthem, with a groovy twist. Remixed in inspiration from Philadelphia, PA rapper Sheetsy’s 2020 song GIDDY, the rapper spelt the title backwards, and did it his way. 1 month prior to finding sobriety, he made his stance strong, and his message clear. 

“I’M HERE TO STAY!” 

Originally a collaboration, Ssheetsy was serving time in prison at the time outside of the Lock Haven rapper’s knowledge, he remixed the song individually after he waited a total of 5 months for a response. When the song started with the lyrics

“Took a math test, all I do is count money, and I gotta A+ on my m**********n’ paper.
Take a s**t on you, gotta clean it up with a scraper.
While I’m reachin’ for the sky without being a clout chaser.”

The listener is prepared for the lyrical ride with the earbuds/headphones/car stereos strapped in. The song also is counted as one of his most lyrical songs to date, with him rapping 372 words in 1 minute, and 489 syllables in the same timeframe. Equals down to 6.2 words per second, and 8.2 syllables per second. Also in verse 3, paying respects to George Floyd, who passed away due to police brutality in late May 2020, which broke his heart for him and for all who were protesting racial equality during the Black Lives Matter protests, which he heavily supports.
