Teehee thank you all for 2k followers, the naming of this tune and what I feel is going on in terms of my growth as an artist kind of match up. I’ve definitely been meeting and collaborating with a lot of different people which has greatly influenced my outlook on music and how we all digest it. Group chat is an ode to my interest in the sound system culture. I was blessed enough to have got to catch “Salty” and “Prophet” while at a few festivals over the past couple of years which kind of inspired this tune! If you haven’t checked out the pushwave project it’s definitely worth a peek. I wanted to mess around with FM modulation a little more and this is the results of my experiments. I used a lot of serum to make the tune, but found some delightful accidents when combining it with frequency tuning in Ableton as well as through some of the filters in serum.
