Lily's Lullaby

Several people contributed to the creation of this piece of music.  The lyrics were written by Robert Jordan in his series of books The Wheel of Time. 

The idea for the melody came to me while I was living in Kenya.  The original video is posted to my channel on YouTube,  https://youtu.be/5RVAhWiOBlU.  I recorded it in the stairwell of home in Kenya.  I was returning home after spending weeks in the middle of south-east nowhere Kenya.   I had been humming the melody for days trying not to forget it.  My iPhone cord had given up the ghost so I had no way to record the melody until I've gotten home.

So as soon as I walked in the door I grabbed my charging cord and finally finally was able to stop humming the melody that had been stuck in my head for is my head for better than a week.

The original video was uploaded to my YouTube channel a little over ten years ago.  

About a year after I Uploaded it someone Posted a comment to my channel telling me that they had used it in one of their recordings.  I found out later they had not only used it but were claiming it as their own.

I emailed them and told them flat out I gave them permission to use it not permission to claim it as their own or permission sell it.

Their response was to link my original video and start giving away my work as a bonus track if you purchased their album.

I have received a lot of great feedback on this piece of music from fans of the wheel of time and Robert Jordan's other work.

Recently I found out many in the fan community consider my rendition of Jak O' the Shadows to be the 'end all be all' as they put it and I could not be more honored.  

I wrote this song to honor Robert Jordan and his work.  To be told that many  associate my music with a piece of Robert Jordan's work is an honor I am unworthy of.
