Once two must part;

once each path forks - and each goes alone -
who is to blame for this?

There is no blame. There is only the course of time.
Such roads intersect in infinity.
Each carries the other with it -
something always remains behind.

you heated up, you melted together, and then you cooled down -
You were your child. Each half now sinks down -:
a new man.

Each one goes to his little destiny.
Life is transformation. Each I seeks a you.
Everybody is looking for his future. And now walks with faltering foot,
torn forward by the will, without explanation and without greeting
