Since their inception in 2012, BIINDS have been shattering musical boundaries and carving out their own unique niche in the industry, drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres including trip hop, ambient, and industrial.

With 14 singles, 2 albums, 1 remix and reworks album, 1 live album, and 1 live EP under their belt, it's clear that BIINDS are making their mark on the music world. Collaborating with musical powerhouses such as Vessels, Rival Consoles, Dälek, and many others, BIINDS have also produced several remixes and reworks for artists like Collide.

What sets BIINDS apart from the rest is their commitment to distance themselves from conventional band line-ups, clichés, and genres. Their sound is a mesmerizing fusion of cold darkness and experimental ambient, infused with the captivating beats of trip hop.

Leander Reininghaus worked as composer, producer and instrumentalist for CD-, movie-, dance- and theatre productions as well as for exhibitions and multimedia events.

He was founder of - recently revived - World Music band MOKA EFTI, with which he performed live in most European countries over a period of 10 years and recorded three CDs, the latest with guests Charlie Mariano, Roland Schaeffer of GURU GURU and Heinrich von Kalnein.

His interest in livelooping (on stage since 1986) and textural music led to the recordings and solo performances of "STARSCAPES - Music Inspired By Views Of Space". 

He has hosted two International Livelooping Festivals in Berlin and took part in festivals in Rome and Santa Cruz, California.

Since 2008, he runs a series of concerts named "Sound Art Modules" in Berlin each month on the 2nd Wednesday, featuring contemporary experimental music.

Leander enjoys/ed working (u.o.) with: Jochen Vogel, Hans York, Michel Wack, Ralf Göldner, Michael Peters (VELOOPITY), Markus Reuter (TUNER, CENTROZOON), Matthias Ebbinghaus, Farhad Darya, Nic-Dea, Andreas von Garnier (SYNTHASIS), Dirk Schlömer (ex-TON STEINE SCHERBEN), Michael Kiessling, Slobodan Savic, Andreas Stollenz aka Froyd and Massimo Nicoletti, to name just a few.

He is currently a member of bands Neues Glas, Ornah-Mental, Starscape &amp; Froyd and Moka Efti.



Solo artist with a sound somewhere between emotive acoustic and electronic pop. Open to collaboration & writing for others.
