Argentinian based DJ/Producer OSWLD joins Soma in 2014 and debuts Tragicaller under his new alias 04LM. With some storming releases under his belt on the fantastic Non Series, 04LM brings his more melodic & haunting sound to the Soma ranks. One of the UK’s biggest Techno exports and Blueprint Records label head, James Ruskin, joins 04LM for a bone crunching remix.

Title track Tragicaller growls in with dark, chugging percussion and one mean bass line. Slowly and surely the tracks evolves, eerie pads float atop brash hi hats and shakers and well defined sequences keep the track flowing, heavy atmospheres in the background rise higher keeping the temperature of this on high!

James Ruskin weighs in with his version of M Place. Hard hitting from the get go. A mighty kick drums bangs across the spectrum as 04LM’s main melody pulses in the background. Chopped up percussion slices through giving this track a fantastic groove. James takes his remix into heavier territories as an almighty bass binge rockets through the heart of his version.

The original version of 04LM’s M Place closes the EP. Hollowed out percussion seals a perfectly haunting melody that sweeps in balanced by slightly distorted atmospheres.

04LM creates a distinct sound with his originals while Techno pioneer Ruskin jacks up proceedings nicely.

Following the success of the duo’s ‘Forte’ album earlier this year, Pan-Pot’s highly esteemed Second State label is thrilled to announce the release of the 13th edition of the ‘Sum’ Various Artist Compilation. As a celebration of Techno music, this compilation showcases the genre’s finest, promising to leave a lasting impression on enthusiasts worldwide.

The tracklist, curated with precision, features a diverse range of artists, each contributing unique sounds that encapsulate the soul of techno music. The compilation initiates with the pulsating energy of “Warehouse Impulse” by Audio State, setting a high-octane tone from the outset. Ben Champell’s “Give Me That” follows, with its raw and powerful sound captivating listeners. The hypnotic journey continues with “Basic Instinct” by Bruce Zalcer, showcasing intricate melodies and driving rhythm. Chris Hirose & RNDTXTR collaborate on “Sits,” a track that fuses deep basslines with harsh percussion and pulsating synth stabs to create a mesmerising atmosphere.

The middle of the compilation is marked by the spell-casting sounds of “Keep Dancing” by Katnada, followed by “You Will Not Colonize” by Kmyle, which exemplifies the genre’s rebellious spirit. SHDW’s label Mutual Rytm rounds out another year with 'Symbiosis' - an excellent split EP from Greek artists ANNĒ & Sera J, featuring six fresh cuts and four digital bonuses.

The release title comes from the Greek word 'συμβίωσις', which means living closely together for a significant period and can be used to speak of a mutually beneficial interaction between individuals. And that is precisely what can be said of ANNĒ and Sera J, who have grown through life as partners and, more recently, as musical peers. This split EP is their first release alongside one another, and one that presents the story of their innermost feelings, with their full label debut following fine contributions to the label's 'Federation Of Rytm II' compilation back in March.

ANNĒ has had a busy few years making her mark with potent techno on labels such as Soma, Hardgroove, and Life In Patterns, while Sera J is just as revered for his tunes on the likes of Out Of Place, DifferentSound and more.

ANNĒ takes the A-side, firstly with the fiery diva vocals and thumping techno drums of 'Heal My Soul' and then the more physical and banging drum programming of 'Turn Back Time'. It's a big, metallic cut with rumbling bass and sleek synths peeling off the groove, while her final track 'Zephyrus' has plenty of infectious bounce and eerie pads to keep dancers on their toes.

On the flip, Sera J kicks off with the electrifying synth stabs and cantering techno power of 'Blue Dancers' and then offers up 'Common People' as twisted leads and slamming drums all run through with alien sound effects and bright stabs. To close, 'Delusion' is a psychedelic cut with roaming leads that bring plenty of cosmic energy to the unrelenting kicks.  In addition, each artist serves up a pair of digital bonuses: ANNĒ with the hurried funk of 'Serene' and loopy intensity of 'Victor', and Sera J with the liquid, dubby dynamics of the hard-hitting 'Intensity' and monstrous energy of 'Bodies Don't Lie.'
