Neither complicated or complex but profound, St. Abdullah’s new work is partially inspired by their love for Jon Hassell’s compositions.

Impossible de deviner que, derrière cet épais entrelacs de branches, se trouve l'entrée d'une grotte. C'est une simple fente dans la paroi, dont s'échappe une odeur profonde, chargée de vie et de mort mêlés.
Après quelques mètres à peine, l'air se fait lourd et saturé d'humidité, les ténèbres s'épaississent. 
La progression est lente et chaotique, car il faut maintenant s'aider des mains dans ce qui n'est plus qu'un boyau étroit.

Après un parcours qui semblait interminable, dans une oppressante absence de lumière, de mouvement et d'espace, le boyau s'ouvre sur une vaste caverne, et une bruine fraîche se dépose sur votre visage.
Dans cette vaste salle, une chute d'eau s'écoule dans un lac aux remous envoûtants, et des pierres bleutées incrustées partout dans les parois dégagent une faible lueur, donnant l'illusion d'une nuit étoilée, vous tombez à genoux, et tout semble s'élever.

The musician is mastering, with his own political views over the esthetic, the art of continuous breathing in his saxophone. Like Amelia Tabei is writing himself, this album is dedicated to his grandmothers, his mother, Laure, and the baby marmots.

Recorded in Lisbon, Winter 2017. I present the first volume of Synthesizer Ditties inspired by a bygone age of witches and wizards, knights and dragons, enchanted swords, haunted graves, sacred forests and regal kingdoms. Recorded almost entirely on a Korg Monologue + spring reverb / LN76 (TR-08 on some ditties also). I've not made the other volumes yet, but when i do, maybe i'll put it out as some sort of expensive compendium or do a limited dubplate run or something else annoying like that? Paralaxe Editions is based in Barcelona, and Ylia (a.k.a. Susana Hernández) has long been one of the city's most well-regarded musicians. A classically trained pianist who came of age DJing breakbeat raves in Andalucia, she easily maneuvers between disparate scenes and styles; she's as comfortable dropping electro and techno records as she is performing alongside experimental flamenco artist Niño de Elche (she's a member of his touring band).


Following her appearances on labels such as Lapsus and Hivern Discs, Dulce Rendición is Ylia's first full-length effort, a cinematic collection of meditative and richly melodic tracks that largely grew out of her intimate live sets. Weaving together analog synths, field recordings and fragments of her own voice, much of the music was directly inspired by her dreams—and more specifically, the seemingly impossible sights and sounds that populated them. Working to recreate their lingering silhouettes in the light of day, Ylia oscillated between moments of deep introspection and playful fantasy as she settled into the hazy space between sleep and consciousness.
