This Zenon DJ mix is by FRACTAL JOKE, Zenon Records producer who has put together this tasty Dj Mix featuring some of his favourite Z-tunes of recent times! Brazilian producer Heitor Amaral has been involved in music for as long as he can remember. Playing various instruments as a child and being a guitarist in bands as a teenager led him to study Music and Technology at the University of Santa Maria, where he graduated in 2018. During his graduation Heitor discovered underground psytrance festivals, and this changed completely the path of his music. Coming from a musical background his tracks usually have focus on harmonic and melodic structures, combined with a cinematic and detailed sound design and a zenonesque flavour. Fractal Joke crafts a meaningful story for every one of his tracks, using carefully selected vocals and ambience sounds, the immersive quality of his music is a signature of his style.

Sublunar Records, the label run by Sciahri and Dagdrom, starts 2019 with his tenth release.

"Corpora" is a new trilogy project whose elements will see the light throughout the year.

Part I involves Nuel, known for his collaboration with Donato Dozzy on the Aquaplano project and author of for two genre defining album on Further Records. His contribution "Intarsia" is a polyrhythmic mixture of ascending synth spirals where every element is tuned for maximum clarity and impact.
Then Sam KDC, an integral part of ASC's cutting edge Auxiliary label and regular on Geoff Presha's Samurai and Samurai Horo, comes in with "Skirmish", a ritualistic experience where a memorable melodic figure is surrounded by delicate drum patterns. On the B side co-founder Sciahri releases all the tension with "Linfa", pushing his signature sound into heavy atmospheric disturbances where distorted grooves bounce among skittering bits of percussion.

Andra Vaerlden 2019 in Norway (PsyTech to Forest)

Summer 2019 turned into a very special summer for me when I got my first 2 international outdoor festival gigs. 
The second one was Unity Gathering, a festival focused on a very natural and organic atmosphere and a very clear focus on experimental music. 
This is when I could finally finish the ritualistic set I was working.

Cacao Records return with the third volume in its “There's Always Cacao in Exotic Places” series. True to its name, the compilation continues to mine a sound that Cacao Records has become well known for, halfway between deep, tech and latin indebted rhythms.

Robbie Akbal opens up proceedings with “Jungle Hood”, a roller for truly warped jungle party explorers. Sparrow & Barbossa follow up with “Chambacu”, an early highlight where an accordion locks horn with an exquisite piano and indigenous vocals combo. Valencia’s AFFKT delivers “Zanguango”, a slightly demented number underpinned by a perfectly elastic bassline.

Lauhaus & Mario Franca showcase their reduced approach to groove on the minimal-minded “Baby Mas”. New York’s Saliva Commandos heads down a more classic route with “Soultrunk”, a perfect melodic summer jam. Berlin’s Tigerskin, a previous alumni of the series, drops the deepest cut, “Medicine”, a dense and acid-laced atmospheric cut.

For the final stretch we find label boss K.E.E.N.E. and his contribution “Pion”: deep techno with a distinctly central american flair. Closing the compilation is “Vitruvia” from Spanish producer Johan Mila, who coins another highlight with a wild bassline and a groove that will prove impossible to resist.

The Discograyphy of Alex Krüger aka TIGERSKIN aka DUB TAYLOR aka KORSAKOW will be maybe one of the biggest you can find. It says all about the artist.
Well know as the producer of heavyweights like PHONIQUE, Till von Sein and lot of other wellknown Artist around he also took some time to do dozens and dozens of own releases and remixes over the last 12 years.

'Kalil' has a bit more underground feeling to it due a heavy woodblock that rules over the percussions. The ongoing melody grabs a hold on you putting you in a wonderful trance. Echoing noises flow over the deep growling bassline working in perfect harmony with mesmerizing synth plucks. Halfway the bassline starts wobbling taking you further and further into the story that is Kalil. A masterful creation by Frederik indeed!

I was born in 1983,and i started listen to music in my early years…I heard techno music for the first time at the age of 10 in Germany.My mother is german,and in the 90’s we were travelling 3 times a year her family, that’s why i was able to hear techno music so early.Listening to Chris Liebing’s and Anja Schneider’s radio shows was a good starting point of my musical journey.I was able to hear all kind of electronic music,techno,house,drum’n”bass etc,so i was developing my “musical” self vey soon.Collecting dj mixes,compilations and also tracks in any style of music was a straight way to start my dj and music career.So in 2000 i start to collect vinyls,buy turntables,a mixer and learn mixing it together.In the first 3-4 years i was playing in my hometown in little pub’s and clubs,then we start to organize own partys with a friend,so we were able to book some of the top techno and house djs,and i could warming up for all these artists.In 2004 had an invitation from Zvezda Beta to play at Ablak A Dubra in Budapest and one year later to team up the Hairy Crew.From here on i played most of Budapest’s and other big city’s music clubs,and played along side the “best” hungarian techno-house dj’s,and years later also with international artists also.Constant performer of the biggest festival’s in Hungary and have an own residency with my old mate and dj colleague Roocha at Aether Club in Budapest.Im very proud that from 2014 joining Ozora festival as an artist too.

VA Forma Melodia is an experimental / psycore compilation involving 11 producers & 11 illustrators. This project brings different art types and different artists together.

Forms reflect the sound, melody illuminates the darkness and colors of the sunset brighten our dreams. We believe music harbors everything inside and types of art always need to be connected. We can have an imaginary journey of sound inside the music.

Music creates the space and time, the atmosphere and the characters. Inside one track you can travel through a liquid story of melodies. Music is an art form which contains every kind of art inside; and more specifically music contains everything that we can imagine. Every type of art can inspire and be inspired from each other. Especially music has been the biggest inspiration for other types of art. With this album we want to connect different artists together and visualize the sound.

All tracks have similar kind of experimental / deep and psycore tunes from different artists. Illustrators involved have different art styles; but we tried to match the producers and designers according to the sense of their art styles. This album has an art story related with the tracks. Each track has one artwork made with inspiration received from the track. Artists tried to visualize the sound using their own creative ways. There are 11 tracks / 11 artworks inside this album.
