Ramiro Lopez drops the electrifying follow up to his 'Pretending' EP from May this year. 

For almost a decade, Spain's Ramiro Lopez has established himself as one his country's leading proponents of techno, with strong releases across labels that include Suara, Intec, Octopus Recordings and Bedrock. He first debuted on Drumcode in 2016 with the rousing collaborative track 'Clap Your Hands' that ranked among one of the label's standout tracks for the year. With one Drumcode release already under his belt in 2017 and a new label project Odd Recordings with fellow DC cohort Arjun Vagale recently launched, he's enjoying another strong year.

His return to the label comes in the form of 'Being Alone', a powerful trio of cuts, all of which featured in Adam Beyer's Awakenings Festival Day 1 performance. The title track is a multi-layered weapon, propelled by a dizzying vocal, swirling synth effects and pin-sharp percussion that build toward a smooth classy finish. 'Dark Science' is an effective stomper brought to life by a bell chime hookline and undulating synth melody ensuring its peak-time prowess. 'Der Raum' rounds out the EP, highlighted by Lopez's deft drum work, proceeded by a driving, euphoric climax.

For release 049 we turn to a fresh face who makes his Second State debut with his ‘Rola’EP. Hailing from Huesca, Spain, and resident of the illustrious Florida135 club, Andres Campo delivers what could be his most mature, eclectic and finely tuned productions to date. ‘No Feelings’ kicks off in a heavy direction with a fierce kick drum and rapid fire percussion before a beautifully euphoric sonic palette emerges balancing the toughness of the groove with gentle touch, all while never losing the most important part: intensity. Following in the footsteps of the previous cut, the title track ‘Rola’ utilizes an enjoyably rough kick drum to drive a freaky arp line to wild abandon. Campo rounds out the EP with his super slick tune ‘Susurros’ (feat. Nick StoneStreet & La Rubia) taking a more subtle yet seductive approach where a gorgeous voice lures you through a hypnotizing groove you never want to end. All in all we are enthralled this EP landed here and we think it’s the perfect way to welcome Andres Campo to the label.

Spanish artist Andres Campo makes his Intec debut following previous releases on Second State, MOOD, RUKUS and Odd Recordings

Already championed by some of the biggest names in techno, Andres has risen to fame as a solo artist, but also boasts collaborations with people like Ramiro Lopez and Alberto Ruiz.

Carl Cox is one of the people who regularly supports his tracks and adding Intec to an already impressive back catalogue of labels, this three track EP showcases Andres Campo at his very best.

Hard hitting with hypnotic grooves and captivating atmospherics, this release also has powerful synths making it the perfect peak time EP.

The opening track Cyclone is all about the exhilaration of lead synth and its stabbing rhythms layered with a heavy kick drum and fast flowing clap rhythms.

Ancient Gods ripples with tension as the pulsating percussion rhythms beat like a heart with a heightened pulse rate that's been raised by excitement. With a captivating sense of urgency, this cut will whip the dance floor into a frenzy with the way it teases each and every drop along the ride.

Finishing things is the understated Glaciar which builds steadily towards a twisted crescendo of sinister FX and growls, before its explosive percussion kicks back in. Keeping you on the edge of your seat, its ominous atmosphere is beyond intense.
