We've been longtime supporters of London club-smiths The Disco Express so it's been a pleasure watching them grow over the last few years from one monthly club night in London to club nights all over Europe and a blossoming record label releasing some of the true heroes of the disco scene.

Their latest release see's label boss Tom step up to the plate under his Bustin' Loose pseudonym with the rather excellent 'The Link Up EP'.

Our premier from the EP today is Marlena which combines the the clean and ridiculously funky party vibes of Chic with deep house chords and hooky ear worm Lemon Jelly-esque vocals.

Dating back to 2003, Groove Junkies’ Evan Landes & Solara have collaborated on some of MoHo’s most endearing classics including "Deeper," "Sunshine," "Perception" and "We Rise" among many others. This time they team up w/ the incredibly talented Will ‘Reelsoul’ Rodriquez on a gorgeous, soulful gem aptly titled "For Those Who Know" (FTWK). 

All three have masterfully infused their distinct individual ‘flava’ to the project. The ‘Groove N’ Soul Vocal Mix’ oozes with vibe and atmosphere. Reelsoul and GJs sublime production & arrangement serve as a perfect foundation to Solara’s ultra cool, alluring vocal. FTWK is a nod to kinder, simpler days where brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers from all cultures are welcome. ENJOY!

Mexico’s Hotmood has been prolific this year with some truly great releases behind him and an ever burgeoning and super loyal fan base. Step up Samosa Records to aid him with perhaps his finest release of the year to date.

Combining 4 tracks Samba E Sabor, Lafro, Groove With You and Our Place it’s an EP with everything from Latin flare to deep jazz party disco. This is a real tour de force of dance-floor nous from a producer and selector with extremely good taste.

‘Groove With You’ is deep party disco with a tight fat horn groove and ever so cool looped up guitar licks. Breaking into a big trumpet solo it’s another feel good moment on a stellar EP. Not content with setting the groove to perfection just wait until the brilliant vocal comes in. A near perfect track!

Samosa and Hotmood together it would seem are a match made in dancefloor heaven.

Born out of the ashes of Darkwood Dub, one of the Balkans’ most revered alternative rock bands during the ‘90s/’00s, Bella Technika is the latest project of Bojan Drobac, the group’s guitarist and main songwriter. Joined by former bandmate bass player Milorad Ristić as well as opera singer Katarina Jovanovic, amongst others, Bojan has found a new direction with Bella Technika. 

Bella Technika join forces with Super Weird Substance for Substance Select Vol.2, which features three remixes and an original production from the band’s debut ‘Section’ LP, released last year. 

Henry Greenwood provides a wonky, idiosyncratic version of ‘Heat Control’, slicing the hypnotically repeated vocals in and out of his chugging psychedisco groove.
