Sonic had come across a peculiar set of sneakers while running through the landscape. At first he ignored them, but couldn't help but admire their sleek design. What's more, they fit him perfectly! How could he say no? With the new sneakers on his soles Sonic began to run faster and faster, eventually breaking the sound barrier, but as he did this he began to spark and shocks of electricity emanated from his body. The world began to dissolve into a strange Rainbow like void. Sonic obviously confused stopped running for a second to look around, but the moment he slowed down, he had appeared in the same place...but a different time. "Hmm, the planet's magic must have done something to these sneakers! Now I can travel through time!", Sonic decided to take a look around this new place before continuing his journey.

this was originally intended to be gift art for  @Brodoof   for their rivals (of aether) workshop character/ talemon character teenah, but i ended up scrapping that because i wrote this radically different than for who the character this was for. bless your soul though, you've been my supporter for a loooong time and even drew fanarts here and there. you were there when i was still a bitter child haha. ig the least i can do is just to stay consistent in quality. thrown the svc thumbnail in because it fit better for the whole song instead of what i would've put up had i not felt that it wasn't fitting

you have no idea how happy i am to release this. it should be fairly known, but i'm a chinese malaysian. i grew up knowing about traditional chinese instruments and appreciated the art of chinese orchestra, but i never really found the chance to show that appreciation until i decidedly wrote this test track. finding any samples for chinese instruments or vsts was hard luck, but i came across kong audio (kongaudio.com) while finding a suona vst and they specifically have made vsts and soundbanks for traditional chinese instruments that i just have to shout them out. this is genuinely amazing, and i burned a good amount of money for it. i'd say it's absolutely worth it. chinese culture doesn't get enough artistic representation like this in the western world and i at least need to share my love for it somewhat through fusion music like this one.

Sonic 3 - Launch Base Zone (Funk Remix) | Daan Demmers

My summer vacation is unfortunately coming to an end soon, so I decided a good way to send it off would be to cover a song that has a good summer-y vibe to it. I've actually wanted to cover this song for over a year now, I just never got around to doing it because I could never find those "WOO" and "YAY" samples.

I'm finding Sonic music is always a lot of fun to cover. Wonder if there's any reason.
