ddj-sb3. two decks essentially, before the days of my now beloved dj707m and it’s easy four track mixing. song selection is vital, flow is king, keep the music movin. there’s so little time to preview tracks with only two decks, you must let go and let your instincts guide you. it’s the part of you that has listened to these tracks countless times and can dance blind and effortless through their melodies. you weave these disparate tracks together, hoping to discover magical combinations that elevate the individual parts together. practice makes possible.
