I am a songwriter from Birmingham, AL. Thanks for doing me the honor of checking out my Soundcloud link! I have posted a few of my songs here, of which some are in progress "work tapes." A few of them are demos that I've made in my studio, and others are full blown Nashville demos. The ones with terrible vocals will always be me, and they will most likely reside in the work tape category. ???

Breaking my way thru Walls to Master the Art of Audio Production

Chris fell in love with music at an early age listening to Frank Sinatra and The Beatles. At age 10 Chris formed his first band and made a demo recording on a dual cassette tape deck. Whilst watching Led Zeppelin’s How The West Was Won DVD, Chris decided he wanted to become a professional musician but was always drawn to the recording side of things. From then, Chris studied music technology at Virginia Tech, worked in studios in Nashville and LA and then started his own business, Sangster Sounds, in 2016. As a producer and mixer, Chris focuses on serving the song and the artist first. Always striving to make the artist’s vision come alive, he uses his deep love of music and knowledge of the technical side of recording to get fantastic results.

As an artist, Chris follows his own compass. Inspired by his journey from Virginia to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music, Chris' latest work, 'Find a Way' takes inspiration from the last 10 years of his life and distills those experiences down into 10 catchy, insatiable pop/rock tunes. This isn’t your standard pop music however. It is part Tame Impala, part MGMT, part Bowie and part Kanye all mixed through the lens of Sangster.
