'Dreams don’t lie, reality is wrong': The manifesto for Pablo Bozzi & Kendal's INFRAVISION project is one we can get behind. Drawing inspiration from science fiction, 'Anticipations' and the disturbing era we're all living in, the Toulouse-born producers have fashioned their own distinct style that's captivated audiences from the get-go.

Their debut LP 'Illegal Future' on Fleisch was an introduction to the duo's slick, sexy, synth-driven sound: a concoction of Italo Disco, EBM, New Beat and Trance influences, brought into the present day, which they term Italo Body Music. 

Before joining forces, both had made names for themselves in their own right through their dark, fierce productions and DJ sets: Pablo Bozzi through his residency on HÖR, work with EGONlab and release for Phase Fatale's BITE, and Kendal via his Ritmo Fatale label and his releases for David Vunk's Moustache Records and Dischi Autunno, the Correspondant offshoot that Pablo has also released on.

After an unforgettable high-energy Boiler Room debut recently, we're treated to another side of INFRAVISION's tastes with this slow burner of a mix fictionally recorded in the Terminator's Tech-Noir club, Los Angeles.

Created by producers & DJs Dori Sadovnik & Niv Arzi, Red Axes constantly defies classification while remaining a stalwart of the dance music scene beginning with the launch of “Break It!” an underground psychedelic electronic party series in Tel-Aviv in 2009. Red Axes have helped dancers around the world bridge the intersecting tastes between rock and electronic music, and are known for their dozens of EPs and albums across the last ten years as well as recent outings via Redrago (alongside DJ Tennis).Arriving hot on the heels of their latest EP for Phantasy Sound titled “Some Lights,” their mix for Bolting Bits showcases their singular vision – merging a kaleidoscopic range with driving tempos that demand listeners lean in and participate. In addition, Dori and Niv have been kind enough to answer some questions from the Bolting Bits team to learn more about their selections and how they’re envisioning the future of their long-standing project.

Well we are back from our summer holidays with a new PREMIERE FROM PARDON MOI!!!! Its part of an EP which is set to be released this weekend in preparation for the Andrew Weatherall Convenanza Festival!!! 

A little bit of text about it:

Berlin based Pardon Moi, consisting of James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a Ferrari GTO convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a Concorde. Unfortunately, vintage Ferraris are ridiculously expensive and Concords are taken out of flight but still, the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with.,,Swiftly bursting into the electronic scene in 2016, the duo managed to release a couple of EPs and singles on Nein Records and Emerald & Doreen Recordings and then drew the attention of one of the most interesting and diverse European labels - Gothenburg based Höga Nord Records.,,Pardon Moi’s sound is warm, creative, uplifting and retro thanks to the use of analogue synthesisers. The musical direction is toward the future. A utopia built in a world where the 90s never happened. This is retro futuristic dance music, but the music doesn't stop with being only nostalgic but holds qualities that would make any actor within any scene of modern electronic dance music envy.'

Fontän have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo’s latest release Fontän (Höga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.
The evolution of Fontän continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

Originally released in 1990 on Doremix Records, Techno Bert was the studio project of Robert Passera and Stefano Cundari, co-owner of Memory Records and mastermind behind some italo disco classic names like Hipnosis, Koto, Faxe. Stefano Cundari unfortunately died of cancer on the same year of the release.

"Neue Dimensionen" was developed on Siouxsie & The Banshees's well-known guitar riff of 'Happy House', in a techno crescendo, where the duo would have enjoyed inserting as many samples as possible by stopping only when the capacity of the sampler Akai S1000 memory would be full. While Cundari cared for the sounds from the 48-channel analogue bench and assigned modular effects to the tracks, in studio there was also the musician Stefano Carrara who piloted the keyboards and the Notator installed on the Atari computer. The couple started the work by sampling the Human League "Being Boiled" groove, and built on harmony and melody inspired by Siouxsie & The Banshees with a Jupiter synth to which they added a low reinforcement obtained with a Roland TB-303. The drum set was based on Roland Tr-909 samples. The sample of the voice comes from "Herrmann Hiess Er" by Nina Hagen, cutting and pasting vocal fragments all around the track, from which they got the name 'Neue Dimensionen'.

Even though it was distributed by Flying Records, only the most attentive clubs talked about Techno Bert single. Many discovered it the following year through the Belgian press on Target that circulated in almost all of Europe, or through the Spanish version of Spitfire. Even without big sales numbers and without any radio passage, the song continue to survive by virtue of a subtly underground connotation.

Roam Recordings maestro steps up to the plate for Wonder Stories with a two track EP of druggy, cosmic sounds. De La Mode is a Middle Eastern fantasy piece full of phrygian scales and eastern sounds which gets an excellent stripped down remix by Maya Danon. 

On the b-side, Sun Kissed is exactly what it sounds, a sunny cosmic journey that grows and and grows until it peaks euphorically. Remixer Pino slows things down and amps up the drugginess that manages to creep along just perfectly.

Here’s a special treat for our worldwide TAU family, a dream team collaboration as label heads Adana Twins link up with Echonomist. It’s been a hugely successful year for both acts, Adana Twins hitting a seemingly endless purple patch with their Diynamic release ‘My Computer’ sitting in Beatport’s Indie Dance Top 10 for a whole year, while they remixed Josh Wink’s classic ‘Higher State Of Consciousness’ and entered the Indie Dance at No.1 with a stunning collab with WhoMadeWho on Kompakt. Meanwhile, Echonomist has had a similarly impressive run, also appearing on WhoMadeWho’s EP, as well as dropping his debut solo EP Modern Wonder on TAU. More recently he released several tracks as part of Dixon’s Transmoderna compilations on Innervisions and is poised to release his first full solo EP on Innervisions, entitled Virtuality. Together they’ve produced four contemporary dance floor focused cuts that exude style and panache, demonstrating the power of their combined prowess.

The EP kicks off with title track ‘Subway Yard’, which feels like a reference to a graffiti adventure, and the tune itself evokes feelings of nocturnal infiltration. There’s an urgency to the rhythm of the main riff which conjures up images of being on a mission. Beats, bass and the neon glow of synths combine to create a compelling, invigorating atmosphere.

Next up is ‘Into The Night’, which continues the nocturnal theme. Hard-hitting beats slam down hard, while an 808 cowbell adds a hint of electro. Adana Twins and Echonomist go all out with the synth work here, utilizing two distinct layers to fill the cut with positive energy. They strike the perfect balance between retro and modern, resulting in a composition that has timeless appeal.

‘Universal Dolls’ follows and the mood shifts to a lower gear. A morose riff is supported by trundling percussion, as the threesome take us into darker territory. As the track progresses they introduce a layer of emotive synth lines, this one tells a story from start to end, moving through several degrees of change, like chapters in a book.

Finally ‘A Moment In Time’ takes us back to the dance floor for an energized yet transcendent experience. This cut has been designed to get you moving, while letting go of your inhibitions. A gentle build up helps to coax you into a state of exhilaration. Don’t think just let the music take you...
