創始之初希望創造一地方媒體，
由台中市區發展的起源地，
也是大墩城聲誕生的起源地，
----中區開始，再到整個台中，
作為媒介，不斷製造對外、對內對話"的可能，
讓台中的人文、故事、歷史可以在不同的節目主題包裝後，
傳達讓更多人認識大墩"、認識台中，

其中台中火車站附近舊城，是台中都市發展最早的一區，
隨著時代發展的轉變，繁榮不再，
然而這裡豐厚的歷史過去，造就不同時代留下的軌跡層次，
不該被埋沒的文化風情是台中很珍貴的底蘊，
我們從收集聲音、故事開始，串連起一些被遺忘的脈絡，
在地人、東南亞移工朋友、新創店家、老職人的店，
很多有趣的事正在發生著，
