You can't rightfully discuss major players in the realm of independent underground hip hop, pop and R&B scene without bringing up the Dirty Ego crew. Founded by the Ariani Copella, Mark Friedman, Dirty Ego Entertainment has consistently turned out a quality product since its inception in 2005.

Initially comprised mostly of artists from its home state of California, the label has since extended it geographical reach to include acts from pittsburgh as well as New York and Jersey.  When looking at true indie labels Dirty Ego cannot be overlooked, the true epitome of an independent, Dirty Ego has always been self funded with all services inhouse, from their own multi-million dollar studio to there own in house video production company.

Beyond just your standard record label, Dirty Ego is also responsible for The Filthy Sound Festival, which they've curated since 2008. Last summer, over 20,000 hip hop heads made the trip to Las Vegas to take part in the event's fifth anniversary.
