The vibe of his music reminds me of bands such The Happy Mondays, Ian Brown, The Whip, Rain Band and The Beloved but is certainly not a tribute to them it sounds fresh with a harder more electronic edge!

Phred is La dame Noir (Bar, Club, Label) co-founder, art director & DJ based in Marseille, South of France. Phred Noir has been producing tracks with Amevicious under “La dame Noir” name for different labels (Meant, Factor City, Blindetonation, LdN Rds ...). He is also been releasing records on “My Favorite Robot Rds” as Slow Porn alongside Remain from Meant Records. 

From Balearic Disco to Slow Techno via Dark Disco, from the seaside to the latest dance floor, Phred Noir likes to play between 100 & 120 BPM and feel even better right in the middle. From the slower BPM till his own 12 3bpm limit, this DJ likes to start the night and build up the tension to the end. 
Phred Noir has been DJing since 1995, and he started La dame Noir project in 2009. This LdN projects allowed him to witness how Nu-Disco evolved and how the french Techno scene came to slow down its own tempo, a fact that made those 2 music collide to give this new Dark Disco vibe. A sound represented today by labels like 
Les Disques De La Mort, Lumiere Noire, Correspondant, Meant, I’m A Cliché, Her Majesty’s Ship, Kill The DJ and most definitely La dame Noir Rds.

Next to take the reigns we have Tici Taci label boss Duncan Gray. Duncan really should need no introduction as he's been involved in the industry for so long you've almost certainly heard of him or at least heard some of his work. Primarily an instrumentalist, Duncan has played guitar and bass on some massive releases. 

Around 2013, after a hiatus from electronic music,  Duncan created Tici Taci Records which is a mainstay of top quality releases. The birth of the label was overseen by none other than Mr Andrew Weatherall (RIP Guv). The quality of the music released on Tici Taci really is second to none and we urge you to go and check out the label and support what they are doing!
