Sad Verse is the fifth entry in the six-album Verse Series under Volant Records, following Anxious Verse, Thankful Verse, Angry Verse, and Lonely Verse.

Where earlier volumes wrestled with fear, gratitude, righteous anger, and loneliness, Sad Verse enters sorrow with gentleness — and guides the listener out of it.
This is not an album about staying sad.
It is an album about being carried from sadness into joy.

Through fifteen devotional songs, each anchored in Scripture, the album traces a healing arc:

Sadness named →
Sadness comforted →
Sadness lifted →
Sadness transformed →
Sadness replaced by joy.

Each track uses the exact Biblical verse as its chorus, allowing the listener to repeatedly encounter God’s promises: He draws near to the brokenhearted, He binds wounds, He gives beauty for ashes, He turns mourning into joy, He wipes every tear, He gives joy no one can take away

Musically, the album begins with soft, introspective textures and gradually brightens into warm piano, radiant pads, and gentle ambient lift.
By the end, the listener stands in full spiritual sunlight — renewed, uplifted, and restored.

Together with the other entries — Anxious, Thankful, Angry, Lonely, and the coming Happy Verse — this album forms part of a complete emotional and devotional journey through Scripture.
