● For her latest single JOPLYN enlisted the producer “BEBETTA” for a remix of her song “Time Will Tell*. In typical Bebetta fashion, she delivered a stunning club-ready melodic techno monster.

● BEBETTA Bio:

Bebetta has been doing her worldwide bookings in clubs and festivals since 2008 but you can still call her a Bedroom-DJ when she puts on her pajamas for her livestream-session ‘Bebetta In Bed’. In this video podcast you can listen to Bebetta’s current favorite tracks and discover pillow fights with other artists while playing ‘bed2bed’. Take a cup of tea, relax and be part of it!

Her sound touches on melodic house & techno with a real focus on melody, driving drums and emotional sensitivity and the DJ’s own personality always manages to shine through in the sets she lays down. Similar vibes also pervade her own productions, which have been offered up by different labels and since 2020 on her own Label ‘Eating People‘.

● Music Commentary:
The remix starts off with weird vocal FX and a clicking watch sound, before the broken beat comes in and starts building. The groove becomes straighter and electronic chops enter the picture, a low bass also fades in slowly. The main heavy synth bassline and the full beat are continuing to build and more synth arpeggios appear. In the breakdown the vocal chorus takes place and eerie pads introduce the dark bass drone sounds in the drop. The lush chords change and harmonies open up and the full beat including top percussion keep driving this song forward into a frenzy...
The remix ends with syncopated drums and a clock to symbolize that time is ticking away for everyone...

● Lyric Commentary:
“All of the seeds we planted, will they be remembered, what will they turn into? Will we forget before we get the chance to see them grow?
And all of the ways we acted, will they even matter, will they make it better? Only Time Will Tell.”
“Time Will Tell” is about relinquishing control and learning to accept whatever comes as it is.

With a profound sense and a highly empathic absorption, the half of the former duo Matchy & Bott sprinkled continously sales charts and playlists with dozens of siginficant releases over the past years.
