Eric was a double finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition for "Corner of My Eye" and "It Must Have Been the Whiskey," and the runner-up in the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Song Competition. Additionally, he was a semi-finalist in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition for "Take a Wild Guess" and received the 2018 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting from the Great American Songwriting Competition for "Bulletproof."

Eric's accolades continue with his win in the 2018 Hollywood Songwriting Contest for Best Country Song for "Bulletproof," and as a finalist for "Corner of My Eye," "Stuck Here in Paradise," and "It All Means Nothing." He was a SongDoor finalist in 2018 for "Different Story," a 2019 finalist in the Hollywood Songwriting Contest for "Different Story" (multiple categories), and the 2019 winner for Best Soul/R&B Song from The American Songwriter Awards for "Different Story."
