2012년 8월 신인으로서는 아주 드물게 정규앨범으로 데뷔한 여성 3인조 걸그룹 디유닛이 데뷔 7개월만에 정규2집앨범으로 컴백한다.

지난 여름, 1집 정규앨범 Welcome to Business로 YG출신의 쿠시와 손잡고 화려하게 데뷔한 디유닛이 이번 앨범에서는 블락비의 지코와 손을 잡았다. 이번 지코와의 작업은 데뷔전인 지난 5월부터 계획된 일로 오랜 기간의 준비와 기획으로 진행되어 왔다. 이번 정규앨범에는 총 13곡이 실릴 예정이엿지만 작업과정에서 너무 좋은곡 들이 많아 정규2집 Affirmative챕터 1 , 2 로 나눠 발매하기로 했다.

Affirmative챕터 1은 총 7트랙이며 타이틀곡인 '얼굴보고 얘기해'는 그동안 난리나와 닐리리맘보를 연달아 히트 시킨 지코가 작업을 하면서 쌓아온 노하우가 전부 녹아 들어가, 블락비의 색깔을 디유닛의 맞게 작업한 곡이다. 얼굴보고 얘기해 의 작업은 사실 지난해의 거의 완성되었으며 수정의 수정을 통해 현재의 곡으로 완성 됐다. 또 이번 디유닛은 데뷔전부터 기획된 유닛형태의 그룹 특성에 맞게 4인조로 멤버 한명을 보강 하엿다. 여러명의 예비 멤버중 'JNEY'가 가장먼저 합류하게 된 것 역시 지코의 의견이 크게 반영 되었다.

'JNEY'는 98년생으로 팀의 막내이며 끼와 실력은 물론 미모와 분위기 메이커 역할을 맡고 있다. 챕터2에 타이틀곡인 'Thank You' 역시 지코의 곡이며 디유닛의 비밀무기로서 4월중에 공개할 예정이다. 이번 '얼굴보고 얘기해' 는 Rock과 HipHop이 혼합된 음악으로, 음악은 물론 의상 스타일까지 지코가 깊게 관여 하였다. 디유닛의 프로듀싱을 맡은 지코는 프로듀서로서의 자질을 검증받을 수 있는 좋은 기회이기도 하며 성패와는 상관없이 앞으로도 디유닛과의 작업을 계속 이어나갈 예정이다.

이번활동부터 4인조로 재편한 새로운 디유닛에 대한 기대도 점점 커지고 있으며 앞으로 늘어날 멤버와 공개될 곡에 대한 기대감 역시 점점 커지고 있다.
