Everything on the earth is of the earth.  We are not separate from each other. Humans might be damaging the environment right now, and you wonder why, but the earth will recover, even if it takes hundreds of millions of years. This song is about deep ecology.

Every line of every verse in this song is something that has been recorded (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_last_words)  someone's 'famous last words', from Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Robyn Williams, Lou Reed, the Greek philosopher Epicurius, Noel Coward, Emily Dickinson, Michelangelo, Stephen Hawking,  Garfield Longhorn, Karl Marx and Eric Garner/George Floyd).  It was inspired by a few lines is Liane Moriarty's book 'Here One Moment' which said, "You never know what your last words are going to be, so try to choose all of them wisely".
