Little Rey is an MC from Central Coast California, born in Salinas and raised in Soledad California. He started writing and recording music in 2009 at the age of thirteen, and began performing locally only a couple years later. With heavy influences from early 90s east coast hip-hop and artists such as Nas, Gang Starr, Common and Rakim, Rey put out two lengthy mixtapes and did performances at school and other events, Rey spent most of his teenage years building an audience locally across the Salinas Valley and Monterey County as a young rapper making a name for himself with his hip-hop music. At 21 years old, Rey has since released 2 additonal free mixtapes titled The Crown Project (2014) and Little Thangz (2015) and 2 official albums for sale titled For You, From Me (2017) and Your Local Lyricist (2018) available on most music streaming platforms and online music stores. Little Rey writes, records, mixes and masters most of his own music as well as edits his own music videos and content such as album and singles artwork under the self-titled Little Arts name.
