having spent his childhood moving to and from the rough indian slums and various cities within britain, karmokar is a self-taught singer, songwriter, producer and engineer with a style that reflects both his cultural background and the post-2000s hip-hop he grew up on, sighting kanye west and kid cudi as his 'musical mentors'. karmokar has been influenced by sounds his entire life but began using music as a release for the thoughts and emotions creating chaos in his mind from the age of fifteen, believing that the ultimate purpose of his art is for healing, not only himself but also his listeners.
