Today we are delighted to announce details of the new EP from the ever prolific, irresistibly charming and admirably talented Gorgeous Bully.

For those who haven’t been with us an awfully long time, Gorgeous Bully (the moniker of musician Thomas Crang) has been a mainstay of the AIH family. Whilst based in Cornwall he first cropped up on AIH05 (a compilation of bands from the SW). He then moved to Plymouth and January 2012 saw us releasing his debut EP 'The Young Obese'. Fast forward to November 2013 and with a 7" EP under his belt, Thomas is now based in Manchester.

Whereas earlier material saw Thomas playing everything himself, 'Nobody Hates You As Much As You Hate Yourself' marks the first outing from Gorgeous Bully as a full band. Having spent the last 12 months playing up and down the country with the likes of Joanna Gruesome, Cymbals and Throwing Up some recorded output from the full band was long overdue.

The addition of a full band has certainly aided Thomas's ability to craft self aware, self inflicted ditties. Across the EP's further four tracks, expect a celebration of misery, loneliness and self-loathing, perfectly molded into three minute grungey pop songs that celebrate the freedom of not doing what is expected of you

2012's Gorgeous Bully EP was released in a cigarette style package that sold out on pre-order alone, for 'NHYAMAYHY' we have tried to come up with something just as visually appealing. The EP is set to be released on February 17th on cassette, in a hand-stamped box that contains a lyric sheet, badges, a bottle opener/lighter, a download code for an MP3 version as well as a further secret EP.

If you would prefer just to have the MP3 version then you can purchase it from our Bandcamp and receive a download of the full EP straight away ahead of the February 17th release date.

Summer Knight

Rivergazer is the nom de plume of London-born, New York-bred songwriter, Kevin Farrant. Since 2011 he has quietly self-released demos and and played in a variety of bands including guitar with childhood friend Aaron Maines’ Porches. (Exploding In Sound). On Random Nostalgia, Rivergazer’s first full length studio album, Farrant teamed up with producer Hunter Davidsohn and longtime friend and multi-instrumentalist, Kolson Pickard to achieve a bigger conceptual sound. The album tells a tale of modern sadness -- growing up in the suburbs, getting married and divorced, having no money, being in debt, driving mom’s car, friends, isolation, wanting a dog, finding zen, and making memories.

We're interested in creating similar guitar parts for Real Estate, but the Nerves have a more aggressive sound so I thought it would be fun to wear that "musical costume" for a while. Blondie already did a pretty good job with "Hanging on the Telephone" so "Paper Dolls" seemed like the next logical choice."

I Was Dreaming is the debut single from Robert Muinos; but it is definitely not his first time around the block. Perhaps better known to the public as the disarmingly charming guitarist and backing vocalist in Melbourne's 9-piece soul rock extravaganza Saskwatch, Muinos has now stepped out on his own to showcase his talents as a singer-songwriter.

Having done the touring hard yards both nationally and internationally, Muinos has found time to turn his gaze to greater introspection. I Was Dreaming captures the sound of a band forged, not depleted by the road. You can hear the miles rolling by in the drums and bass groove, the late night' and hangovers in the yearning harmonica while the vocal melody seems to search for something naively optimistic. The lyrics allude to love but to whom exactly is the listeners guess...
