Joe Saunders AKA SEFF has made a huge impact with his distinct crossover style of raw, underground house and techno music, retaining attitude, swing, swagger and energy in both his productions and skilfully constructed DJ sets. Since being signed to Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC in 2012, he has gone on to release on many other hugely respected labels, worked with an array of top artists, remixed Dave Seaman on Great Stuff Recordings and also was signed to Dave’s label ‘Selador’. He established Mindmaze Music as a platform to release great music from himself, established artists and new talent and it has rapidly become a favourite of many underground music lovers around the world.

Kicking off with the title cut, Response serves a weighty underbelly of chugging grooves and swinging bass notes complemented by endless percussive shuffle and playful vocal chops, resulting in an undeniably danceable underground vibe-builder. BRODYR, the dynamic DJ duo from North Wales, have been making waves in the global Tech House scene since 2015. Their name, meaning Brothers in Welsh, reflects their familial bond and powerful musical synergy, which is evident in their groove-laden, percussive Tech House style. Heavily influenced by Marco Carola, BRODYR have released successful tracks on their label, Black Seven Music, and Unnamed & Unknown and Distance. Beyond the studio, theyve electrified stages at top events like The Warehouse Project, Parklife, and Hideout Festival. As founders of Black Seven Music, they are key influencers in the Tech House genre, continuously pushing its boundaries while aspiring to make their label a global phenomenon. Seth Troxler’s definitive dance floor label Play It Say It has a real coup for their next single: a collaborative track from trendsetting and globally renowned brothers Nic Fanciulli and Mark Fanciulli, one that is likely to become an anthem for the months ahead.

The high impact ‘Star’ is the sort of big, muscular main room tune that blows crowds away. Built around barreling drums and rubbery bass, the track is brought to life with a classic vocal sample from Rose Royce’s 1978 hit ‘Wishing on a Star’ that truly sets the whole thing on fire. Creeping synth sounds add another edge to things and the results are sure to sweep up even the biggest of dance floors.

The superb dub version has even more focus on the monstrous drums and allows the synths to breath that bit more for extra euphoric effects. This is a brilliant pairing and it's no surprise the prominent brothers come up with some real house heat here.
