Proud to be a Brony (Bronies Forever Cover)

I originally wrote this track in 2011 as a reaction to the novel "Planet of the Blind" By Stephen Kuusisto. I had originally named the track after him, but naturally I later decided it was probably best to make the track somewhat more accessible.

This newer version changes the instrumentation a bit, adding acoustic guitars, replacing the part originally written for violin with an electric guitar track, and generally replacing older soundfonts with higher-quality ones.

- Record live bass (?)
- Tweak/ re-mix piano part
- Tweak & possibly re-record guitar part; mix more thoroughly
- Record live drums

- Record a violin track to see if it works

Not 100% confident in my final mix for this track. Too bass-dominant; Sounds good on headphones not on actual monitors. May get a revision in the future. Anyway: Step aside, best 90’s kids’ game coming through.

Before “Lego Star Wars,” “Lego Batman” and “Lego Requiem for a Dream,” there was a fun little game called “Lego Island.” 17 years ago today (as of this posting; 10/2/97), it was released on PC - and I’ve been addicted to computer games ever since. We lost our copy long ago, but I played it so damn much as a kid that its catchy tunes are forever burned into my memory. Honestly, I played it so much that there's no doubt Lorin Nelson's work on this game probably had an influence on the way *I* would later write. Good stuff for a kid's game.

So, to celebrate 17 years of my very first game - here's my remix. Samples taken from the original track by Lorin Nelson, as well as The Lego Movie (to keep things at least little relevant :P). Enjoy!
