Because I won't sacrifice what I call my ARTISTIC FREEDOM, I LOSE FOLLOWERS ❤️ (SAD). I know the rules, you're supposed to stick to one genre. I don't do that sort of thing. Hell, I can't even stick to one genre within a song. For example, my ADD brain can't listen to a house song for more than 30 seconds without getting bored (so sorry, house fans!), so I'm certainly not going to write a 5 minute song with the same rhythm , boom-chi, boom-chi... all the way through. I don't do that sort of thing.
 
One SONG is not like the other songs I write. Combining genres, not completely fulling any, to some, this is a jumbled mess. To others who get it (and very few they are), each song is like a permission slip handed to me to explore topics of importance that are interesting to me.  

Many times, I don't start with a concept in mind,  but allow the music to tell me what it's all  aboutt which becomes perfectly clear to me as the DRAFT evolves to a certain point where I identify what it is I want to say with this piece of music.

I don't know if you know my music, but I wrote songs about the 1st atomic bomb explosion "TRINITY" in the US, but there was no bomb sound in the music. Here, in HOLD ME, there's a bomb and a "boom," not loud, just meaningful. Female vocal samples are also used in the song similar to how I used them in "I'm Losing Myself," but "I'm Losing Myself" doesn't actually contain a verse. 

NOW, this song, HOLD ME, is NOT NEW to me. I worked on the song in Feb 22 when I had to stop producing for family reasons. It was actually charted for March 2022, but I didn't get around to mixing the song until December 2023. I thought about remixing it again since but decided to provide it AS IS because I don't want to change a thing.

Lately, I've been LIKING videos and I find out after, the music was created with AI. When I find out, I'm so disappointed that I'm liking what the computer thinks is great electronic music. Then I think, maybe AI should have made it better... NO Artificial Intelligence is use in the creation of my music and, as far as I'm concerned, AI will never enter "MY" music or I can't call my music "mine."

Ruston Way is an up-and-coming alternative rock/pop duo formed in 2021 by Dalton Haegele, from Puyallup, Washington. Inspired by artists like Twenty One Pilots and Cage the Elephant, their music blends alternative rock energy with catchy pop sensibilities.
