Kyak is a producer and DJ based in Vienna. Born and raised in the hot South of Turkey, he grew up surrounded by a cultural melting pot with people and music from different cultures such as the Arabic, Kurdish and Turkish. Driven by the experience of his own migration, it becomes inherent for to produce electronic and oriental music to build a bridge between this two great impacts. Sessions Sonores were born from a desire to open a window on the world of electronic music. The concept is based on three main pillars: discoveries, meetings and sessions.

First of all, the discoveries bring together our selection of EP and LP reviews, growing and recognized labels, record stores always ready to unearth nuggets for our pleasure, festivals & clubs with eclectic posters, articles around vinyl as a mythical object, the history of electronic culture, cutting-edge literature as well as party guides and diaries.

Then, the meetings revolve around written or filmed interviews. We are truly going to meet the key players who bring electronic culture to life: DJs, producers, label owners, event organizers, promoters and even volunteers without whom many events would probably not be conceivable.

Finally, the sessions bring together our selection of podcasts and mixes in order to provide the sound layer to listen to at home, with friends or on the way.

Hailing from Novi Sad, Serbia, I’m a passionate explorer of sports, nature, and the captivating rhythms of house music. My heart beats for soulful house, but I enjoy diving into the diverse shades and textures that house music has to offer
