The band leans into the ferocious groove of mid-to-late ’80s hardcore — Gang Green, Murphy’s Law, D.R.I. — but filters it through a distinctly modern lens: crisp production, urgent hooks, and lyrics that stare straight into the chaos of now.

From the unflinching rage of Control Is A Lie to the blazing defiance of Burning Bright, from the slow-burning heaviness of Hey, You Still There? to the high-velocity blast of Glass In The Rearview, the singles alone prove why Uitwaaien are one of the most vital new voices in hardcore. But it’s the new cuts — Spit It Out, Paper Shields, Where Did I Go?, and the explosive closer Short Fuse, Long Day — that complete the picture. Each track feels like a punch, a purge, and a purpose.
