This one is about much more than the dancefloor: "Ruler On The Throne" by Budakid is full of ear openers with it's painted synth sounds and the metallic bleeps combined with the warm voice of Siogue. Such an intense statement of deep and electronic music to end and summarize the season. "The Question Is Why" comes much more poppy and combines different musical cultures. It's trippy and melodic and turns into a funk-tinged anthem while the piano is taken you back to the beach. The remix by Kris Davis speaks the language of the club. Lucky number thirteen on San Francisco's @Manjumasi comes from label co-founder Atish. Following hot on the heels of last year's solo debut "Peculiar Colors," Atish returns to the label in fine form with a trio of collaborations. Each named after an amphibian or reptilian creature, the three tracks showcase Atish's musical range.

First up is Bullfrog, produced together with fast-rising German talent @timengelhardt. A chunky percussive bass groove drifts over liquid smooth lily-pads, laying a foundation for the quirky, croaking synth riff that makes the track's heady hook. Second on the package is Chameleon, a collaboration with label co-founder @mcslee. This one is a driving melodic groover that oscillates between musical colors, with a light floating pad melody and slip-sliding glissando synth playing counterpoint to edgy stabs. Rounding out the package is Tortoise, a team effort with SF talent @bengalsf. Like the animal, this tune is slow-moving and wise, demonstrating strength through patience in the form of a groove that gently meanders and builds with rich detail.

Anathema Records continuous with its summer releases, this time presenting Roberto Rodriguez (AKA Galel), a rising star producer, borderland neighbor, and homeboy from the Sun City of El Paso TX, delivering his label debut album titled 'Talisman'. 

The self-titled track kicks things off with a steady bassline blended with a deep synth that later brings to life eerie sounds building crafted violin harmonies, giving a melancholic twist to the second part of the track, inviting you to lose yourself deep within the breakdown into a hypnotizing flute. All-together delivering a deep solid track. 

'Whispers' is curated by a tribal beat, sophistically merged with arpeggios and melodic elements that harmonize during the break with melancholic flute and piano foundations. 

On remix duties, Death on the Balcony (combined forces of Mark Caramelli and Paul Hargreaves) add their signature beat of the drum to 'Talisman' alongside a melodic buzz that takes you on a long, winding astral journey with tripped out keys & ethereal rhythms full of sound philosophy. 

Luis Leon, DJ and music producer from Lima - Perú and Co-founder of Blankhaus Music, delivers a Dub Mix of 'Whispers' orientated towards Electronica with galactic elements coordinated with a fresh and outer space down-tempo beat, fashioning it into an incredible and killer track.
