This week, MalLabel Music is proud to present an ever evolving creature of biological brain chemistry through sound and a man of many names fit for his futuristic style. From the Bay Area, California we are pleased to present, VGNX.

Another discovery via Raquel Divar's 'Aux In' remix album, we are stoked to bring you a full psychedelic solo EP from VGNX. This man has been putting his decade of musical experience to fine use over the years creating and refining styles yet to be labeled. Chock full of bass, lasers and psychedelia, he's been pushing the boundaries of bass music through a variety of genres, classifiable or not with past monikers. With this current project he's been outside the box trippin' on future sound manipulations to create a deeper journey through the mind with every sonic adventure.

His newest EP, Psychoactive, showcases the diversity in which his new sounds breach genre classifications to penetrate neurochemical pathways through aural communication. Opening with 'Crystallize' the EP begins with an atmosphere of hallucinatory vocal stabs and twisted repetitions riding on heavy bass distortions while 'Extra Terrestrial Funk' drops stompin' ass beats through tripping fields of 8bit arpeggios and ominous vocal aberrations. The title track continues this vibe with some fat ass bassleads to drive it home to the glitchy bounce and hood-rich styles of 'Sauce' to close off this mind expanding experience. Get some good headphones and let this trip through your mind proper.
