SmileyGaz has been a passionate part of the dance music scene since the 1980s, immersing himself in its evolution and vibrance from Chicago House and Detroit Techno to the euphoric highs of Acid House. It's Acid House, in particular, that has remained close to his heart, inspiring both his creative journey and his infectious energy behind the decks.  
Hailing from the North East of England and now calling the South of France home, SmileyGaz brings decades of music appreciation and storytelling to his sets. 
In 2010, he co-founded the duo “Kids Love Acid”, pioneering experimental multi-layer four-track live mixing that pushed creative boundaries. After parting ways with the project, SmileyGaz returned to his solo roots, crafting unique mixes guided by his mood and embracing the diverse styles of dance music he loves.  
Known for his intuitive mixing style and eclectic taste, SmileyGaz keeps the spirit of the dance floor alive, whether he's channeling nostalgic grooves or exploring fresh sonic landscapes.

His track Response received support from Carl Cox who included it on his Space Ibiza Ten Year anniversary album. Living in Bristol since 2010, he released his debut album Atlas in 2013 to high acclaim. Traum, Stress, Street Tracks, PR Records and his own Self Control imprint.
