I aspire to be your escape from reality if only for a few minutes. I have had many struggles in life. I have slept on floors, and jumped couch to couch battling my inner demons. I strive to be the "lyrical helping hand" to anybody who has ever been down on their luck on any way.
I started making music at a young age of 12 before stepping away to enter the world of Professional Wrestling.  I have performed with many local artists in Chattanooga, TN. I have also opened for artists such as MARS, Stitchmouth, Black Label Billy, Kilo Crakroxx, Scare Crow Child Records, Cutthroat Productions/ Komatose, and many more!
Music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. With that being said, my top inspirations include: FJ Outlaw, Haystak, Mike Jones, Young Jeezy, Jellyroll, and many more... I hope my music reflects that fact!

The Welsh born Brigadier is Singer, Songwriter and Producer Matt Williams. Influenced by all sorts of popular music past and present, he writes melodic pop-rock with intricate chord changes and catchy choruses.

His self-released 2007 debut album 'View from the Bath' had rave reviews. This was followed by 'The Rise and Fall of Responsibility' (2008), 'Time is a wound' (2009), 'The Secret of no Success' (2010) and 'Suburban Incubation' (2013). In addition to these albums he has released a series of EPs based around the seasons, they are; '6 Christmas tales...' (2007), 'Rhymes for Rainy Days' (2008), 'The Edge of Spring' (2010) and 'Holiday Special' (2010).

The Brigadier has had radio coverage (Including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Devon and BBC Southern Counties) in the UK, USA and Europe, as well as magazine coverage. He has done a couple of BBC live sessions and interviews and has completed a number of soundtrack commisions. He is also featured on Roxy Music and Squeeze tribute albums released by Burning Sky Records.

On his breakthrough fourth album, The Unseen In Between, Steve Gunn explores his own emotional landscapes with his most complex, fully realized songs to date. The lyrics evoke voyages, tempests (actual and emotional), and a rich cast of characters met along the way -- the work of an artist finding a place of calm in the midst of a storm. Produced by frequent collaborator James Elkington and engineered by Daniel Schlett, the immaculately recorded Unseen forces a reassessment of Gunn’s standing in the pantheon of the era’s great songwriters.
