 I'm a singer/songwriter from the Midlands with a passion for writing songs. Here you will find a mix of new and old songs from over the past 25 years. 

 I've had the privilege of working with some great musicians through the years. These songs are testament to their efforts as much as mine.
 
 I have written rock/pop/country/folk and a few other blended genres. A song is a song, whether it's Motorhead or Beethoven as long as your message comes across then it's all good with me.

Ryan Adams has been praised as "one of rock's most talented songwriters” (SPIN). The 7-time Grammy nominated artist has 17 studio albums to his name, accumulating in millions of sales. He has produced albums for esteemed musicians including Willie Nelson, Jesse Malin, Jenny Lewis and has collaborated with some of music’s most influential artists such as Weezer, Fall Out Boy, America and many more.
 
Ryan’s profound contributions to music have taken many different forms. From his songwriting, to his producing, to fronting the rock/alternative country band Whiskeytown, and forming, “Ryan Adams & The Cardinals,” his ability to connect with audiences across a variety of different mediums is undeniable. Adams’ musical creativity was recognized early on and led to his NME Best Solo Artist win in both 2003 and 2004. In addition to his self-titled, double-Grammy-nominated 2014 album, Ryan’s catalogue includes Heartbreaker, Ashes & Fire, Easy Tiger, Cold Roses, Jacksonville City Nights, Love Is Hell, his 2001 major label debut Gold, and more.
 
Ryan’s artistry is not limited to his songwriting capabilities. In 2009, he published Infinity Blues, a book of free verse poetry about his journey to self-realization, and Hello Sunshine, a collection of poems and short stories. Ryan’s passion for writing continues, and he is currently working on his first novel. His music has spanned multiple musical genres, and has been incorporated in film and television specials such as Judd Apatow’s top grossing production Bridesmaids, This is 40, popular HBO TV series’ True Blood and Felicity, and his song, ‘Stay Alive’ appeared in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, starring Ben Stiller.
 
In November 2014, Ryan performed a two-night engagement at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall, which turned into a critically acclaimed live album on PAX-AM records, a label specifically for his music releases.

Ryan is widely known for his powerful shows performed all over the world and regarded for his prolific songwriting. He has been praised by many music icons including Noel Gallagher, Taylor Swift and the legend Elton John, who described him as the “fabulous one.” Adams currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his five cats, typewriter, and coffee machine.

I consider myself to be a humble bedroom guitarist, but I'm starting to branch out into recording my ideas and I'm enjoying the process of exploring the doors that can open as a result. My influences include the great Tommy Emmanuel, Andy Mckee, and Ben Howard.

EDD DONOVAN is a highly distinctive, indie folk singer and songwriter. “A natural storyteller and reflective lyricist” (Maverick Magazine); he has a rare, original talent. Originally from the North of England, he has made his home in Cheltenham. He has a collective of remarkable musicians around him called The Wandering Moles. 
Their début album, Something To Take The Edge Off, was released in April 2014 and was immediately ranked under Great Debut Albums in iTunes. It received glowing attention including Folk Radio UK’s album of the month, a fantastic 4* review in Maverick Magazine and extensive national and international radio play. It is “a wonderful example of what modern folk music can be…gloriously different”. Folk All. 

 “Edd’s unique song craft proves to be witty, thoughtful...and blessed with a melodic touch” (Folk Radio UK) and although comparisons to Bob Dylan, Nathaniel Rateliff (even Johnny Cash) have been made in the press, he creates a sound that is both familiar and fresh.

The Guardian’s article on the “singing social worker” has gained Edd’s songwriting international attention. “Powerful…. poignant” said Americana UK and Edd’s work in mental health has inspired a number of his songs.

After a UK album release tour in April 2014, a summer filled with festival dates, 2015 saw Edd on the road as a solo artist, performing select dates with the full band whilst also going back to the studio to work on their second album.  Live performances with the band bring incredible energy, textures and groove to Edd's wonderful songs. 

2016 brings the release of his second album, Making Mountains (Vol. 1). Whilst the songs on his debut album were based around his voice and guitar, the songs on this new recording uses the band to define a rich sound with thoughtful, expansive arrangements and instrumentation.

2019 sees the release of his third studio album, Guardians Of Our Time, Edd’s new album, Guardians Of Our Time, was recorded at Edd’s home throughout 2018 and 2019 and is a marked contrast to the full band sound and production of his last album ‘Making Mountains Vol 1’ (2016). Edd has self produced using mostly what he can create with his voice, guitar and keyboards (even iPhone recordings).
