I don't know how The Philisteins missed being noticed by the mainstream of Australian music? They exist as evidence that with all the talent, skill and determination in the world even the best laid plans more often than not go 'splat'.

At least we can still listen to how gloriously they did that and if you've never heard them before consider yourself very lucky. I do.

Porcupine

The title is Scottish Gaelic for 'ferry boat'.
I spent my early childhood on the Isle of Arran, and have fond memories of sailing towards the Isle, with the peaks of the mountain range looming in the distance.

Artwork is a drawing of me and my brother by my Mum.

Mixed and arranged on a Behringer Desk. Recorded in one take on Audacity.

Hi how have you all been?! Soundcloud locked me out of here like facebook did untill recently for months Whats been happening please share your tracks here! Soundcloud please give me my password back for this account i created 0475781163!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive contacted support many times to be told every time i could be a hacker. im using an old link to log in.
 this is a bunch of rough recordings and mixes that I have done , plus a bunch of tracks  by our members under reposts and tracks. originally created to free up my hard drive Floyd Dog Audio morphed into Hobart Community Recordings, a community space 350(roughly)  of my rough as recordings are here, most of them are done in 1 take with no editing  plus a few of my friends tracks as well in the  reposts list/ many  recordings here are mostly recorded by me using Logic and an 1818vsl soundcard or a presonus desk and at cygnet using an aw16g recorder and about 1550 recordings by the community , its a record of a learning curve as Im having a go at learning digital audio production from the perspective of being a pensioner living in Tasmania I have decided to offer my limited understanding and not  so limited studio for a donation, what the recorded person thinks the final cd or files are worth so far I have put together around 10 cd's and these tracks on soundcloud and I have nearly 2 tb of recordings to collate to be honest I have realized that I won't hear all of it or be able to edit it all even if I did for another 20 years id still have more than 22years of recordings to hear b4 I heard it all..  Please share your sounds here to our Reposts section..we'd love to hear them!! Most of the communities tracks are at the bottom of the tracks list which takes 40 minutes to scroll thru. Please share your sounds tracks recordings to this page.
