I was a working DJ/producer 1996-2001 (UK). Lover of electronic music since 1990. I use this site to share some of my mix tapes and the best mixes from other DJs that I've accumulated over the years. This is purely for entertainment, sharing and promoting good music.

I did produce some tracks back in 1998-2000 but only released a couple of EPs with DJ Relay under the names Low Profile & Two-Step2. We are getting back into production again as of 2020 and will be re-releasing some of our old and new tracks going forward, find our tracks on Juno, Beatport, Amazon, etc.

Bacanito's musical journey began at a very young age, growing up with a  father would sing, play the piano and the organ around the house and at  church. This is where he learned to play the piano, drums, bass &  guitar, with the church's band. From the start, music was more than  making sounds; it served a purpose, it touched the soul, it mended  wounds.
His love affair with House music began in the late 90s in  Montreal, but took some time before it took over. He has lived in  Switzerland and traveled to different countries, experienced music in  different settings and after a few years of being back home in Montreal  he caught the House bug while trying to produce a hip hop track.
 Things escalated fairly quickly and he continued with house music  production and also began to DJ around this time, after long-time local  DJ Pierre Perpall Jr loaded two Technics 1200s, a mixer and a crate of  records into the back of his car.
His instruction was simple: Learn.
Pierre took him under his wing and helped him secure his first gigs and  he then went on to begin playing at different venues and clubs around  Montreal. These include Le Salon Daomé, Terrasses Bonsecours, Club  UN/Club Peopl, le Consulat, where Uzi, Datchka and Iseult,  believe in him enough to let him play on a monthly basis very early on.  He then went on to be one of the original members of the Oasis  Wednesdays crew. 
Montreal being a melting pot of cultures, he  met many collaborators of different origins and influences, which  enabled him to experiment with music he may not have made on his own.  These collaborators, over the years, include Mojazz, Tazz, Giovanni  Randisi, FukiFlex, jLove amongs others. Many of these encounters took  place at the infamous club Cherry. There is something to be said about this venue and how it helped connect local artists. 
Since 2009, Bacanito has produced music, some on his own, but he also  collaborated with others on both vinyl and digital releases. He produces  under the name Bacanito, but alongside longtime collaborator and BFAM  FukiFlex (Paris), they are known as Sweet x Sour'.  They've produced a slew of bootlegs and remixes, a single, two EPs and  shared the stage along with Mr V in Montreal as well as in Miami during  Sole Channel's WMC festivities. 
Whether solo or via  collaboration, he has worked with labels such as Sole Channel (Mr V),  NEWAV, United Music Records (Hallex M), Underground Quality (DJ Jus-Ed),  Tsuba, New Kanada, Montreal's own Kinjo Music (Dave Allison),Deepnsound  (Marcelo Cruz), Baldeelox and more recently can be heard on material  released on Sistrum Recordings (Orchestral Dimensions with Tazz and  Giovanni Randisi) and Global Diplomacy (N'dinga Gaba, Rescue Poetix -  Build | Sweet x Sour Moody Blend).
He's also shared the booth with internationally renowned DJs such as Black Coffee,  Mr. V, Paso Doble, Josh Milan, Franck Roger & Jojo Flores, to name a few.
More recently, his longstanding collaboration with DJ Tazz has led to the pressing of their first independantly released EP, Infected Rhythms 001

Originally from Tokyo, and now based in London, Anchorsong AKA Masaaki Yoshida is a highly-fêted producer, and solo live act, renowned for crafting immersive and rhythmic releases.

Anchorsong has become globally recognised for his unique live shows, which spectators have described as “like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas”. He creates electronic music entirely live using an MPC2500 and keyboard, right in front of the audience. While he mainly performs solo, he frequently augments this setup with a string quartet, for a genuinely spellbinding show.
 Early on in his career, Anchorsong wowed the crowds at SXSW and found himself the subject of increased attention, going on to make several appearances on BBC Radio 1 with radio play from Rob Da Bank and a live Maida Vale session for Huw Stephens’ In New Music We Trust show in early 2010. Having put out three successful EPs in Japan, all of which were released as double packs containing a CD and a live DVD, Anchorsong’s international debut, ‘The Lost & Found EP’ was released on his own label, Case Study.
 Anchorsong signed to Tru Thoughts and released his single “Ghost Touch/Plum Rain” later that year, followed by his highly anticipated debut full-length album ‘Chapters’. He signed the seismic “Mawa” EP to BBE Recordings for a limited edition clear 10” vinyl release, taking a more element-laden, cut and paste approach with a renewed musical vision.

Masaaki dug deep into the roots of 70s African music on ‘Ceremonial’, while taking inspiration from 70s and 80s Bollywood film soundtracks and traditional Indian percussion on ‘Cohesion’ – a psychedelic, danceable and free-spirited listen that blurs rhythm and melody.

Praised by the likes of Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music/Worldwide FM), Karizma, Osunlade, Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1) and Craig Smith, Anchorsong has commanded support from BBC 6Music, being playlisted with his hit singles “Testimony” and “Expo”, ‘Ceremonial’ being hailed as Album of the Year (2016, 5th spot), and ‘Cohesion’ named Album of Day (2018). The unabashedly talented musician has achieved heavy press coverage from the likes of XLR8R, Clash, Magnetic Magazine, Pop Matters, Bandcamp Daily, NME Japan and Rolling Stone Japan, with print reviews from Q Magazine, DJ Mag, and Songlines (which named it as their ‘Top of the World’ album), and airplay across BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network, Worldwide FM, Radio X, FIP and KCRW.

‘Mirage’ is the fourth album from Anchorsong, a record that evokes hazy soundscapes constructed with wind instrumentals, choirs, and global sonic particles. Building on Anchorsong’s long-standing tradition of “borderless music”, ‘Mirage’ fuses intricate rhythms with minimal yet immersive lush interplays of sound to create an auditory odyssey. ‘Mirage’ marks a departure from Anchorsong’s previous two albums – ‘Ceremonial’ and ‘Cohesion’ – specific geographical references. Instead, the album which was half-written during lockdown and when nobody could travel, shows Masaaki internalise his global influences and worldview to conjure a “vague landscape that only exists in my mind”.
