"Nebel lang" (german) is the mix of "fog" and "lifelong", which turns metaphorically into "lifelong uncertainty".
As the name implies, it is an exploration of the concept of time and the unforeseen. The organic, the living, the changes.
The Nebel lang sound is based on environmental piano improvisations.

This album is a collection, raw and spontaneous, and the fruit of 15 days of artistic residency in the beautiful setting of La Becque, La Tour de Peilz (CH), in partnership with Françoise Siegfried Meier Foundation and the Montreux Jazz Artist Foundation.

A setting in which I was able to express myself, on grand piano and essentially on prepared piano, with introspection and escape.


This logbook is intended to be raw, spontaneous and representative of the immersive moments I have experienced.
Some improvisations are therefore presented, such as the themes "Memories", "Serenity 1 and 2", "La Becque", or experiments ("overdrive", "rework")
The theme "Mrs. Siegfried Meier" is a tribute.

Memories is also composed for PianoDay 2019.

Dan Devoted is the creative identity of a London-based composer and producer whose music blends ethereal soundscapes with driving rhythms and introspective themes. Having toured with Biig Piig as a key part of the journey, Dan’s musical path has allowed for a wide range of influences and experiences that shape an evolving sound. Contributions to major campaigns, including piano compositions for Samsung’s Olympic campaign, highlight versatility and the ability to seamlessly transition between the commercial and artistic realms.

With a sound that’s ever-evolving, Dan Devoted continues to push creative boundaries, inviting audiences to explore the beauty in both the expected and the unexpected.
