When I started composing this piece in December, after buying Spitfire Originals Intimate Strings on sale, I had these thoughts: If this is what the future is going to look like, I didn't sign up for it. Although in my youth I read and watched a lot of SF films presenting both utopia and dystopia, I always preferred the bright future. However, what I see on TV, on YouTube and outside my window is starting to resemble the latter...

Despite this, I hope you like the piece at least a little bit

The idea was to "Write a short piece (1-2 mins) that starts with a recognizable melody in it’s original form, and then take that melody and reinvent it in your own style. I'm an independent musician exploring different genres and styles that resonate with me. I play drums, guitar, bass and keyboards, and I’m always looking to grow.

These days I focus on the Lofi - Chillhop style. Not constantly, but I try to push its boundaries a bit, e.g. with unconventional time signatures (7/8, 5/4, etc.).

My philosophy in music is simple:
If we don’t lift each other up, who will? The industry won’t. So let’s support and inspire one another. If you have the power to help, use it—otherwise, what’s the point?
