A selection of Acid and House tunes from 1988 to 1990 mixed by me. Back to when the raves began and the music started getting exciting. I did this mix and first uploaded it online in 2011, but as of from December 2013 iv re-mixed it and its now improved. Iv got this mix on a couple of sites and the original version i did of this has been quite popular on YouTube. Even tho the original version has been one of my most popular mixes, (apart from my breakdance mix) there was a couple of areas of sloppy mixing, but most significantly after listening to it on a particular occasion i realised just how bad the audio quality was and i wasnt totally happy with it so i thought id try and rectify that, so iv totally re-mixed it (almost identically with only a few minimal changes) and its also now extended with two extra tunes on the end.     This mix is now a better experience ! 

As i say the original copy was bad quality and even when i then put this re-mixed version on YouTube it still had a slight few distorted areas on a couple of tunes, but this is the nice clean copy of it with no issues.
(Altho in hindsight i have put to much sparkle on it in my music producing software, but iv learnt from that since to be abit more minimal with it)

Old Skool Classic Acid / House 1988 to 1990 Mix Part 1

The 10th edition is hosted by Liv Billerbeck, founder of Berlin underground institution Billo Records and numerous bands and projects including AUS, Die Letzten Ecken or Die Schiefe Bahn. For our mix series, she has merged radio play and film excerpts - flickering in and out like biographical scraps of memory - with the spirit of 80s DIY craft and wave music to create a raw, sometimes exuberant yet poetically atmospheric whole. From Asmus Tietchens to Max Goldt to Anne Clark and Skeletal Family there's heaps of great material to be found here, at times revealing the influences on the quasi-mythical post-punk realism of her own work.

SV Filter work out, BugBrand Modular

Interesting bit about this one (and the reason I upload it) is that the only sound source is a filter, Yep, all sounds played are from a single SVFilter, and not multitracked either, the whole thing is the filter wobbling around and getting pinged.

The filter is triggered via an envelope from the Seq8+ expander module to get a 16 step sequence, then its CV'd and FM'd and stuff with clock divders opening VCA's for the FM. I mult the bandpass out and send 1 through the freq shifter, pass a feed of that through the PT delay. Stereo pair is passed through Ciat Lonbarde Cocoquantus and then into mixer with Eventide Space on an aux send. Recorded as a single pass onto cassette.
