This is the 6th song posted from the album I started using demo tracks given to me by Wou-Wou & the Wormling during the start of the pandemic! This song was inspired by the mass shootings that plague the United States and the lack of progress this society and government makes toward increasing the safety and well being of all. I was recently surprised by an article in support of the “good guy with a gun” solution in a mainstream liberal news article. It’s basically the wild wild west out here still, lol. 

Big thanks to Wou Wou, Bit-zone, and Stricknice for sticking with me through this long project and being an awesome group to work with. And big thanks to The Magnetic Dog Sisters for working with me on this second track. I love their fresh experimental sound!

CONCISE BRAIN JUMBLE (SONIC FUCKERY)

What began as a collaboration with Debra Buesking has expanded to include the wonderful vocal talent of Paolo Pieraccini (@mayadog).  His singing, especially in Italian, gives the song a sweet, emotional intimacy and urgency.  A lovely honor to have him grace our song with his talent. I usually share quite personal songs with you . In a certain manner that s the case for that one too . But the one's who s talking to you here is an 8 years old Franky boy. Every time someone asked him"what will you do with your life in the future ?" , he just answered : I'll be a magician , of course !
The old guy just lends his voice and plays a few stuffs here and there. 
Of course this is not a "serious" song , but many artists currently post their summer songs , and i've never composed a summer song . So here's my first try !

Bengal Lights

Piece inspired by romanticism in the city: love within concrete walls, poetry beneath artificial light...

Three vocal parts (translated lyrics below) became in very different moods in the songwriter phase, so I couldn't fit them in the same tempo. Working hard on transitions, I got the following solution:

Intro: ad libitum
A: 6/4 & 5/4 at 147bpm
B: 4/4 at 220bpm
C: 4/4 at 293bpm

Such ABC pattern is repeated twice, structured with some city scenes, and 2nd 'C' part includes a guitar soloing lesson by https://soundcloud.com/paco-ray, old friend of mine, technical consultor and personal luthier ;)

By means of some weather sounds, I oppose precise dark parts to more colored ones, with serious work till 3:25 when I had fun jamming, so you can skip to 4:20 & enjoy great outro !!

Clarinet was borrowed from my sister for summer practice. Reed & keywork managing is difficult for a beginner, & home cohabitance was set on serious risk, but with painful effort I got something presentable, or so I hope, as not willing to repeat soon...
