If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. Unlike You

If you've ever been on a mad night out that got out of hand, you'll get this song. It's a song about the blurred lines between hedonism, self-control and addiction, and it's all there in the track. 
It's about the cyclical nature of drink and drug abuse and the way time itself distorts when you approach the precipice of the void. We wrote the song in a way to mirror that feeling of trying to keep the night going when everybody else going home; that desperate search for small hour thrills, interspersed with peals of drum and bass, hazy taxi rides and streetside longing.

As Sure As Day Is Light

This is a song I wrote in a really lucid dream where I was recording this song. When I woke I could remember the chords and the lyrics to the first verse, so I wrote the song off those. I’m not sure the first verse lyrics make much literal sense, but they were in the dream, so it seemed only fair to work with what I’d been given.

Thi ssong features the very talented double bassist Colin Somervell (Hoatzin). The rest of it - guitars, drums, organ, vocals - is me in the usual fashion. All of it was recorded and mixed by me in my flat
