A little later than I anticipated but  I’ve finally completed this cover of BATTLE AGAINST THE WORLD from Deltarune: Chapter Rewritten!!!

This took SO much time to complete (I had it in development even before the maelstrom video came out), probably the most effort I’ve put into an MV for a while haha

I wanted to take a lot more creative liberties so It’s more than just a cover, so I made the intro more like the original BAaTH, then added more variations throughout (sampling Field of Hopes and Dreams, touhou reference, chord progressions from BAaTH, etc.)

It was really fun to cover these songs from chapter rewritten!! Thank you all for supporting me thus far!! I hope to be able to improve and become a better musician the coming year!!

SoundCloud compression fucking hates my hi-hats apparently, so I apologize if this sounds like dogwater. Maybe I'll get an upload on some other platform eventually?

Anyways, though! This was a real fun track to cover. I tried to make it a bit more unique than the original song by borrowing from The World Revolving a bit more heavily, kinda like what Moonstriker and Squimpus' covers did. Battle Against A True Hero actually has a lot of instruments and motif structures in common with World Revolving, so I tried playing on that as the "base" for it. Hopefully it makes for a breath of fresh air?

the less refined of the two, but still technically "complete" - i transcribed this whole thing by ear (the slides absolutely killed me); the bassline and mixing are ass but pretend its intentional

i guess it thematically makes sense to release this close to the fnaf movie premiere and on halloween, because ya know, pizza and horror; and for once i'm actually on time for a holiday upload (kinda)

now i'm done with these - i gotta a lot of better stuff coming up before the year ends, one of the HIGHEST requested songs is next, its gonna be a while, but i think you guys will really enjoy it :P

after I released my remix of skating towards heaven, I almost immediately wanted to make version 2, but then the document about the joker came out and... well, you know, I didn’t want to anymore. this is my old flp version 1 with motifes from original. the freedom motif and beginning was recreated by @said_music_gameplay, all other melodies are by me. I think there will never be a second version of the remix...
