The word on the street is that indie-pop duo, RUUMER, is back with a vengeance. Music became an outlet for these two sisters after breaking free from the chains of Catholic school and confines of suburban life. Melis and Jess have trashed their school uniforms for fashionable streetwear and want you to join their girl gang revolution. The emerging singer/songwriters have collaborated to cultivate a message through their music that is deeply rooted in empowering bad-ass females. RUUMER’s unique sound takes alternative pop with an urban influence from their adopted cities of NYC and LA to electrifying new places.

When RUUMER broke out with “House of Cards”, their new sound was met with praise from reputable blogs like Idolator and Perez Hilton. The single was described as“a polished power-pop gem that seethes attitude” and “empowering, badass, and super melodic!”.  
RUUMER’s “massive, knuckle-cracking banger” of a sophomore single, “HEELS”, premiered on Galore Magazine. The invigorating pop anthem had the blog scene declaring RUUMER as a “pop duo that could very well end up being the leaders of the free world in the not-so-distant future”.

In their first new release since “HEELS”, RUUMER teams up with rapper Sammy Adams to drop, “GIMME SOME”. The vibey, anthemic jam that is all about empowering women’s sexuality. Inspired by RUUMER’s Catholic school upbringing, it is essentially a satire on the sexually oppressing environment of their youth. The record has a theme of juxtaposition as you hear a choir inspired beat with the girls’ playful vocals praying to God to “get some” tonight.
Oh Lord, this one will have you begging for RUUMER to "gimme some" and more.
