Originally from sunny South Africa Steven van Zyl has been DJing for the last 10 years in various exciting venues including The Kensington Roof Gardens and has on many an occasion played with well-known resident DJ's from London super-clubs such as Heaven, Mahiki, China White, The W, Amika, The End, Ministry Of Sound & The Cross. His styles includes the best in House Music, Rnb, Hip Hop & Soul.
	
It all started in 2000 South Africa, JHB, Cool Runnings Melville. With the birth of "Vinyl Underground" Where we saw some of South Africa's best DJ's rippin' up the dance floor & playing the best in House, Deep House, Techno, Trance, Progressive House, Breakbeats, Hip-Hop & Reggae. "VU" ran until 2002 until I decided to expand and move to the UK to try and push the boundaries.
I was at The Roof Gardens London, Kensington, where I ran the bars while taking an interest in the music style and the fast moving pace of such a large venue. I've worked along side all the guest DJ's that play on Fri & Sat Club Nights, including the Resident DJ who has held the position for over 25 years, who is now my mentor & close friend.
In 2010 we started up the bi-anual Roof Gardens Live Lounge Event, where we hosted London's up & coming bands including Jazz FM Saturdays.
