KOOKOO Records presents "Outtakes", the second EP by The Director. Following the success of his EP "B-Movie," which brought him to the forefront of stages from Austria's Electric Love Festival to New York City's Silencio, Paris's Pamela, and Montreal's Igloofest, Mathis, aka The Director, decided to reignite his studio, reminiscent of Daft Punk's 1999 "Homework," for "Outtakes". His first single features an intense Disco-House style, filled with catchy loops and memorable lyrics in "Cliffhanger", bordering on Techno for "Quiet On Da Set", and echoing the classic "Music Sounds Better With You" for "Take Number One (On & On)", this second opus invites continuous listening, with each track seamlessly transitioning into the next. With support from modern disco-house headliners like Barry Can’t Swim, Claptone, Dombresky, Duke Dumont, as well as BBC Radio 1, Tomorrowland, Fun Radio, and others, "B-Movie" confirms The Director’s 90s House formula, which he has recently been sharing on Instagram under "Taylorhythm," amassing over 60,000 house music fans and several million views. "Outtakes" remains true to its predecessor: powerful sound, advanced musicality, a unique sensitivity in modern house, and accessible listening without becoming mainstream.
