Originally released on Volume and Tension in 1994, the 'Duster' EP was one of only two releases Toby Warren completed under the Hi Tech Criminal moniker, it has since gone on to become a rare gem of a record that swaps hands for princely sums. Klasse Wrecks is very pleased to announce the re-issue of the original tracks on vinyl and digital and happy to announce an exclusive-never-heard-before mix of the title track. The 4 tracker harks back to a period in time when creativity and originality was at an all time high in dance music. I am never happier and more excited than when I get to release a debut EP from an artist. I got sent these demos from @mariiinmusic and immediately knew they were destined for release.

There is a rawness and intensity that sometimes comes with a level of naivety and I can hear that present in these tracks. When you are near the beginning of your production journey I think you inevitably write more with feeling than anything else and I think that is why these tracks work so well.

Mariiin is a dynamite DJ and obviously has a fantastic ear for groove and what will work on the dance floor but I know from experience that being a great DJ doesn’t always translate into being a great producer. Fortunately, in Mariiin’s case it certainly has and in turn we all get the joy of experiencing these tracks. Wonderful news!

We decided to reach for a remix for the B2 and I turned to label stalwart and close friend @guavanoise for the goods. He turned one out in typical Guava style. Twisting and turning your mind as you listen. It’s a wild old ride.

I’ve been sitting on these for a good few months now and I can’t wait to share them with the world. Big shouts to Mariiin for coming through with such a sick first EP. I wish mine had been half as good as this :D

It's been 30 years since John Peel pondered over a mysterious house record with cryptic stickers on his legendary radio show in January of 1991. In 2020 Craigie Knowes sister label Wormhole Wisdom has pulled out all the stops to remaster and reissue this important piece of UK dance music history.

Super-rare classics "Laura Laura" and "La Monde Marine" are coupled with 3 previously unheard/unreleased tracks that were recorded as part of Simon Power's Marine Boy project 3 decades ago - 2 of which have been loving edited for DJ-use by label co-head Parts Unknown.

Much loved underground music and culture podcast Parry Talks, hosted by Parry Tritsiniotis, has announced its first foray into the world of releasing music, and today unveils its first VA release. Comprised of tracks from PT alumni and previous podcast guests, PT001 is a thrilling exhibition of the rich community Parry Talks has represented for over a year and its diverse musical offerings.

Playing host to a multitude of different guests including Triple One, Dro Carey, Made in Paris, Willaris. K and many more, Parry Talks has garnered a loyal following in the Sydney music community and beyond thanks to its genuine connection, commitment to storytelling and diversity in guests. Bedroom producers and local DJs feature in the same season as international stars and rising cultural figureheads, and the same care and intrigue is applied to all who enter the PT arena.

The digital only, Bandcamp exclusive release features a who’s who of Sydney’s underground dance community, and 100% of sales being donated to Aboriginal Legal Service Redfern. While the guests of the show have been far-reaching, the roots of the project however live in dance music, hence the record labels entering into that space.

A stalwart in the Sydney dance scene, Lex Deluxe contributes a River Yarra-meets-Roza-Terenzi, 4/4 glitchy bass-fuelled belter on her track, and Caitlin Medcalf makes her production debut with 'Gel' — a slow building, omnipresent, churning, 909-tinged banger. 

Off the back of a hot Gallery Release, the Sydney bred, LA based AK SPORTS lightens the tracklist up drastically with her very relevantly titled Free Britney. It's a stereotypical glitzy, 2-step garage banger with a dark twist in its second half, before AREA CODE wraps up the entire release in style with the foreboding, peculiar slice of atmospheric electronica with a glitched-out, hip-hop moment to bring it all together.
