Hungry hits the ground running and kick starts 2016 with an excellent two-tracker by N’to.

For the release’s title track “Note Blanche” N’to further explores his shimmering, melodic & adventures deep house affection. Precise rhythms lead the way through a mystic moonlight atmosphere, while his trademark percussion sounds complement the synth and pad layers in perfect style.  

The playful “Meanwhile in Rio” tune takes a slightly different route. The groove has a distinctive shuffle and the timbres are vivid, offsetting extremely-smooth sub frequencies. The organic wooden sounds N’to created run along nicely with the classic organ melody.

Gallic cynosure Agoria debuts on the Hotflush roster with ‘Hélice’ – a compelling, propelling record that envelopes and encompasses. Blending an ambience of eerie sci-fi over suspense-laden peaks and troughs, it goes after body and mind in equal measure.

Its B-side counterpart is  ‘Make It Real’, a jacking house number cut through with a classic Rhodes bounce. The latent garage disposition is brought to the fore by ESS, whose remix nods to the East Coast glory days of yore.

«We recorded this rework at night in Superpoze’s studio which is in a hidden cave under Paris streets. We played synth, drums, guitar, I wanted it to sound like a band covering the original version, because his work makes me feel like I’m listening to an Earth or a Mogwai record, it is atmospheric and meditative but powerful. His work is so honest that it is like listening to a part of his soul. Nora En Pure first caught the attention of Australian production trio RÜFÜS a few years ago when they heard her breakthrough track ‘Come With Me’. Their paths finally crossed in Sydney, where they decided to join forces to bring a new blend of instrumental house music. Nora En Pure gracefully works her signature sound into the original track, embellishing it with her unique synths, piano chords and soulful claps. Leaving Rüfüs’ soothing vocals firmly intact, this funky rendition featured in Nora En Pure’s Rüfüs Triple J takeover this month and is now available for all to enjoy via her SoundCloud.

Not much is known about this mysterious artist from Istanbul other than the music he produces draws heavily on the heritage of his home city and its melting pot of east meeting west.

‘Luna’ is a deep, multi layered late night dancefloor instrumental with exotic eastern flavours while ‘Araf’ features haunting female vocals and guitar workout over a deep baseline and crunching beats with a clear electronica soundscape. Fantastic for the late night floor.
